TRIBE NINE Update Notes!
Thank you for your participation in the Deadly Demo.
To improve gaming experience, we have made adjustments to various aspects of the game, such as battling elements, difficulty, and story progression, according to the feedback we received from the Global Beta Test “Deadly Playtest”.
Regarding Battles
▶︎New playable characters.
Kazuki Aoyama
An all-rounded character that is easy to operate and can transform his weapon. Fights on the front line, granting Shield and triggering allies’ Chain Skills.
Hyakuichitaro Senju
A character that charges [Fighting Spirit] by attacking repeatedly. Can grant allies Shield that transfers damage taken to him.
▶︎New Tension Cards.
Things To Hold On To
When a character is granted Shield and hits the enemy with a Deploy Action attack, this Tension Card will grant that character a buff that will increase the Attack point of their Ultimate Skill.
All Out
This Tension Card is suitable for players who are confident with their skills. When executing Actions, Evasion Gauge will be consumed to increase Damage Bonus.
▶︎Removed conditioning of enemy difficulty in accordance to players’ enhancement levels.
During the Deadly Playtest, we implemented a setting which allows players to have an easier time defeating enemies when the enhancement levels reach a certain standard.
However, many players prioritized countering enemy movements over enhancing their characters. This often led into the situation in which “enemies are irrationally strong when characters are underpowered.” Hence, we decided to remove this setting.
We hope that through this adjustment, the enhancement level of players will not affect their damage output; and that they will be able to immerse themselves into the clashing of different movements even more.
▶︎Added new Action – “Dash”
Characters will be able to move through the battlefield swiftly through dashing. Under this status, it is possible to keep at a distance from the enemy and reposition oneself.
▶︎Adjustments to the Evade Action
We will be introducing a new system – the “Evasion Gauge” in Deadly Demo. When executing evasion, a certain amount of the Evasion Gauge will be consumed.
- The Evasion Gauge will slowly recover even when an Action is executed.
- Executing an evasion when there is insufficient amount of Evasion Gauge will deplete the Evasion Gauge completely; and the gauge will only start to recover after the additionally consumed amount is refilled.
- The Maximum Evasion Gauge will vary for different characters. For more information, please head to the Character Screen to confirm.
- Enhancing the potential “Survival Instincts” can increase the Maximum Evasion Gauge.
▶︎Adjustment to targets during battles.
To optimize battle experience, we have made adjustments to the camera.
We will also be adjusting the lock-on function so that it would be even more convenient to differentiate targets.
In the options, players will be able to freely adjust between prioritizing targets the character is facing, or the target closest to the operating character.
- Targeted enemies will now be marked.
- An enemy that will be targeted after being attacked will be marked with the “〇” marker.
- An enemy automatically targeted by the camera will be marked “◎”.
▶︎Adjustments to camera during battles.
We’ve added a function which will allow the camera to capture enemies automatically even if they are outside the frame.
- Players can adjust the camera distance or disable the function in the options.
▶︎Adjustments to chain skills.
It is now easier to trigger Chain Skills. When an Impairment is granted, even if it does not fulfill the condition to trigger a Chain Skill, the Chain Skill will still have a chance to be triggered.
- Enhancing the potential “Combo Ability” will increase the chance to trigger Chain Skills.
- The icons will now mark required Impairments.
▶︎Adjustments to Deflect.
Upon a successful Deflect, Tension Gauge will increase.
- The time frame to determine if a Deflect is successful has been adjusted, making a Deflect easier to execute.
- Skill icons will be marked if they can be used to Deflect.
▶︎Command List is now accessible through Character screen or battle screen.
The Action command list for every character is now available.
- The command list and Action details can also be viewed during battles.
▶︎Foreboding signals before enemy attacks enhanced.
▶︎Detailed battle rewards can now be confirmed.
▶︎Enemy Tension Gauge will now decrease slower when the effect Ace Vision is activated.
▶︎Can now execute “Restart Battle” or “Retreat” during battles.
▶︎Some battle options are now available.
▶︎Can now challenge again in Story Challenge Ch. 0 after losing.
▶︎Made adjustments to existing playable characters, Tension Cards, Compatible Monsters stats and skill effects.

Hard Catch | Adjusted to increase tenacity when taking damage. |
Unyielding Negotiation Skill | Adjusted the increase in Attack point for every Normal Attack hit. |

Regarding Challenges

We have adjusted the pace of the game to help players experience its main functions earlier.
*To implement such changes, parts of the story have been updated.
There will be some parts of the story in which the sounds may not play.

Adventure
▶︎Updated map.
- The map will now display Daily Challenges that are currently accepted when zoomed out.
- Updated the display of the connections between areas.
▶︎Added the function to check obtainable items in the various areas.
▶︎When interacting with Respite Units, enemies will return to their original positions.
▶︎Updated the structure of some maps.
▶︎Adjusted enemy allocation.

Regarding XB
▶︎Updated the display during XB to help players have a better grasp of the situation when hovering between different commands.
- Added the UI to confirm the effects of the different commands.
- The radar will now reflect the chances to win for the current turn.
- Updated the display when enemies use certain skills.
▶︎Adjusted the balance to XB games.
We’ve updated the content so that it will be even closer to experiencing a real baseball game.
Player’s choices will have an even greater impact on the game.

Regarding System
▶︎Can now check character ranks via Wipeout History.
▶︎Character voice will be played when obtaining a playable character from gacha.
▶︎Can now view detailed information of Featured Characters or Tension Card from the Details screen.
▶︎Can now play using the same Steam ID even if the game is accessed via different devices.
Fix Progress
The following issues that occurred during the Global Beta Test “Deadly Playtest” have been fixed.
- In certain cases, characters may become inoperable when interacting with the control panels in a certain order on a map where paths can be adjusted.
- In certain areas, party members may display unexpected movement patterns.
- Performing certain actions near an interactable object may lead to an anomaly in which you may not be able to investigate the target correctly.
- When set to English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, an anomaly in which Minami Oi’s skill may not display correctly in the Character screen.
- Repeatedly tapping on the dialogues in certain parts of the story may lead to unexpected behaviors of the pixel characters or sound effects.
- When pressing the log button, previous story contents will be displayed temporarily.
- Some players may experience lag if Adaptive Sync has been turned on.
