TRIBE NINE Derivative Works Guidelines

Thank you for your continued support of TRIBE NINE.

Akatsuki Games Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”, “we”) has established guidelines for creating derivative works of TRIBE NINE content so that more people can discover and enjoy the game.

The Company will not pursue copyright claims against derivative works that comply with these guidelines.

Who is Subject to These Guidelines

・Individuals or unincorporated organizations who engage in derivative creative activities (production, exhibition, distribution, screening, streaming, etc.) based on the game TRIBE NINE

These individuals and organizations may freely create, exhibit, distribute, screen, and stream derivative works based on this game for non-commercial use only.
For derivative works created by legally registered companies or organizations, or works that go beyond these guidelines, please contact us through the form provided under “Contact Information” for individual review.
The Company reserves the right to take legal action if we determine that a work or activity in question violates these guidelines.

Criteria for Determining Non-Commercial Use

“Non-commercial use” refers to derivative works created by individuals or unincorporated organizations without profit-making intent.
This includes fan activities where creators receive compensation only to cover production costs (such as materials, utilities, and tools) to sustain their creative work.

Permitted non-commercial use for individuals and unincorporated organizations include:

・Creating, exhibiting, or distributing illustrations, figurines, dolls, and other three-dimensional creations
・Creating, exhibiting, or distributing doujinshi (fanzines) and other derivative digital content
・Posting derivative works of TRIBE NINE on creator fan community services
・Creation, exhibition, and distribution of cosplay costumes
・Distributing, exhibiting, video screening, and publishing cosplay photos and videos online
・Introducing TRIBE NINE through videos or screenshots from normal gameplay

Clearly Identifying Derivative Works (Last updated: April 19, 2025)

When publishing derivative works, in order to ensure the rights of the copyright holders and prevent player confusion, please make sure it is clearly indicated that the work is a derivative creation in the manners stipulated below.

1. For media intended for distribution or sale (such as doujinshi, fan books,digital novels and/or digital data,and other derivative merchandise):

Please clearly indicate a statement such as “This work is a derivative work of TRIBE NINE” on prominent parts of the item, such as the front cover, back cover, colophon, or visible areas of the merchandise or its packaging.

2. When posting illustrations, pictures, videos, or other media posts on social media or online platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, etc. (This includes photo/video shoots of cosplay, figurines, etc.):

Please ensure that at least one of the following stipulations are met when posting:

・Posting with an official tag such as #TRIBENINEFanart, #トラナイFA, #战极死游二创, #戰極死遊二創
・In your profile description include a statement such as “All illustrations and/or other creative works are derivative creations.”
・In the post text or within the illustration or visual media itself display a clear statement of indication such as “This is a derivative work.”

Prohibited Actions

The following actions regarding derivative works are strictly prohibited, regardless of other guideline provisions:

1. Commercial or profit-making uses beyond fan activities, whether paid or free
2. Works with minimal creativity, including direct copying, scanning, sampling, or tracing of game content (illustrations, videos, audio, music, logos, marks, manga, etc.)
3. Creation of game-like content (including production, exhibition, distribution, screening, or streaming)
4. Uses that suggest sponsorship, approval, or affiliation with the Company or its related companies
5. Production, sale, or preparation of counterfeit or pirated official goods
6. Uses that could be mistaken for official works
7. Uses that violate or could potentially violate public order and morals
8. Uses related to religious, political, or anti-social activities
9. Uses that defame specific players
10. Acts that discriminate, insult, or slander other players or other third parties, or damage the honor or credibility of others, or acts of harassment (e.g., attacking a specific person or group, causing mental distress, obscene or explicitly sexual acts, etc., which the Company deems problematic), defamatory or offensive conduct toward a specific person or group
11. Posting personal or personally identifiable information
12. Infringing on the proprietary rights, intellectual property rights (including copyrights, trademarks, and all other intellectual property rights), honor, trust, privacy, or other rights of the Company, other players, or other third parties
13. Other acts that the Company deems inappropriate

Other Precautions

・These Guidelines are subject to change without prior notice.
・These Guidelines do not provide any guarantees in regards to the use of our content or related derivative works.
・These Guidelines are not intended to transfer any intellectual property rights pertaining to the game “TRIBE NINE”.
・Creators of derivative works are solely responsible for any issues arising from their creations, and the Company shall bear no liability for such matters.
